In 2018 I took over as Chief Executive and, recognising that Northamptonshire requires strong leadership I have been shaping a new Senior Leadership Team and working closely with our Government appointed Commissioners to ensure that the Council re-establishes its integrity, improves its decision making and ensures the effective and affordable provision of key services to its residents, until the planned reorganisation of local government within the county area takes place.
We are looking for an individual to drive forward the development and implementation of a new organisational model for the county, at pace and with tenacity. You will also have the financial acumen to ensure we have robust monitoring and compliance measures in place, fully meeting our statutory requirements.
The successful candidate for this role will be strong, resilient leader, who can work tactically to influence change at local, regional and national levels, working closely with myself, colleagues and elected members and who can offer strategic insight, leadership and sound financial assurance across the portfolio. Results-orientated, they will be able to evidence a successful track record of related achievement that has established their credibility within a high-performing public or private sector organisation.
